#11

Finally completed - another rare issue, DIY Deadbeat aka, PYO print your own....March 14 1983 - April 4th 1983

including interviews with Annie Lennox of Eurythmics after Fat Sams and Bluebells also in Dundee, while Pigbag wee accosted after Edinburgh teviot gig
The original proofs are below including the 2021 censor's attempt to put iron bars on page 19! Another DIY Deadbeat if you want to print your own or just scroll down and read and revel in the nonsense.

Hilary caught Annie's look perfectly.....a beautiful sense of the death stare or as we say skelly eye...used recently in the impeachment hearings on Capitol Hill....and how lucky  were we as Annie was a stunningly warm and welcoming  person when we talked to her....at the hotel...after the gig...offering us tequila....Perhaps my favourite moment of all time - ahem!

Yes, my favourite moment of all time - sorry Roddy...Jackie...Caitlin....

Again a Dundee Hotel would see an interview with someone I shouldn't be in the same room with, never mind a hallway.

Annie Lennox was an adult, so was Hilary, but I was a full blown child, "Sweet Dreams" were made of this......oh to re work that cover of Deadbeat with a wee bit of air brushing.....please excuse the Gary Glitter... and so I apologise if Deadbeat promoted him in any way.....but the Swing Club were brilliant....but back to that glorious 20 minutes in the company of a beaming Annie....if this was 1983 bring it on....well we had an election to look forward to as Michael Foot was about to boot Thatcher into retirement....

I think I'd been in Glasgow earlier in the week, with the Bluebells and Sunset Gun and it was all so surreal.....the only thing I can confirm is I never made my uni exams.....they call them finals, but they could'nae have been....i did finally sit them...some time...I've a certificate....although I did forget to graduate.....so they posted it to me...it was a big issue that week I'm sure...

I'll load up all of issue 11 during 2020 as there are great interviews with Pigbag & The Bluebells, but in the meantime I'll hand you over to Annie, Dave and Hilary
